Joe R - I think you're right to some extent, but I have only my own experiences on which to base my answer.
Everyone - you people crack me up! Now I have 12 "thumbs ups" and 4 thumbs downs. Those women on the pg. section are gonna wonder wtf is going on!

debm - I only care in the sense that if I was being rude, I'd want to know so that I don't repeat in a practical sense (such as real-life situations). Don't care about these particular people. I don't even know who they are.

Not rude at all.......
You need to ask yourself why it bothers you so much that some people gave you the thumbs down.....they don't know you, so why give it a second thought?
(now you've got loads of 'thumbs up'.... :O)

No, not at all! You were just sharing your experience. I think that your answer is very helpful to the asker by giving her a first hand testimony that could well serve as food for thoughts. I have never contemplated on natural birth with my three pregnancies resulting to three deliveries under epidural. During my time, doctors didn't give expectant mothers so much of a choice. No regrets! My three children turned out to be normal in every sense of it and I would not say that I could have been a better, healthy person if I had natural birth. So, relax and don't feel bad...

I gave you a thumbs up if that helps.
Maybe a thumbs down or two were in error. I've felt really awful when I clicked on the wrong one because my vision is so poor that it's difficult to tell the icons apart. There's no way to take it back, which there should be, don't you think? I think you should be able to click "Back" to undo it.
Well, at least you're getting support here! So, don't fret. You have supporters.

lol no, you weren't rude at all!
You were blunt and sincere,
that's the best thing to be.
How you were blunt, sincere, and not rude,
i wonder...i wish i could do that.
I just told off some girl for thinking she was fat and i said, "Stop caring what people think, stop trying to impress boys by being like everyone else, go for a guy that likes you for YOU. People don't hate you because you're fat. They hate you because all you talk about is how fat you think you are. God."
See,
now i'm rude.
I don't like to be that rude,
but with a thirteen year old, it's hard to get through
their skulls.

because of the fact all human beings is rude. there is often one which will detect a spelling blunders in a straight away typed question. Like do you think of I take a seat right here and study by using my question 6 cases to verify there are no typos? i assume they have time for that yet i do no longer lol. I wish i ought to delete them however, this is stressful to have one individual writing with loopy clarification factors like this !!!!!!!!!!! complaining approximately your grammar once you attempt to study the genuine solutions as realistically if the question is written frantically to the factor there are a ton of blunders, the guy does't decide for to waste time analyzing by using dumb solutions

To each their own darling. I had both of my sons with no pain killers. My oldest was 9lbs 6 oz and my youngest was 6 15. 4 hours for the oldest and 45 minutes for the youngest. I hate needles, and did work through the pain. But like I said, it is all personal preference.

No. You didn't say anything rude or malicious. As a matter of fact, I don't know why you got four thumbs down. Your description of child birth sounds similar to every other woman's experience to me.

You weren't "rude" in the sense of putting her down or anything, but you were a bit crass in your form of expression. It was like you were reliving your own issue rather than just responding to her.
Wait...!
I just re-read the original question and your answer. No, I don't think you were rude. You were straightforward and told her what she needed to hear.
