You need to keep in mind that not all Republicans are bush-davidians. Recent profiling if the Bush republicans has uncovered the following common beliefs among them;
1. Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of
homosexuals and Hillary Clinton
2. Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad
guy when Bush's Daddy made war on him, a good guy when
Cheney did business with him, and a bad guy when Bush
needed a 'we can't find Bin Laden' diversion.
3. Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is
Communist, but trade with China and Viet Nam is vital
to a spirit of international harmony.
4. The United States should get out of the United
Nations, and our highest national priority is
enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.
5. A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her
own body, but multinational drug corporations can make
decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.
6. The best way to improve military morale is to
praise the troops in speeches, while slashing
veterans' benefits and combat pay.
7. If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents
won't have sex.
8. A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our
longtime allies, then demand their cooperation and
money.
9. Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound
policy, but providing health care to all Americans is
socialism. HMO's and insurance companies have the
best interests of the public at heart.
10. Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are
junk science, but creationism should be taught in
schools.
11. A president lying about an extramarital affair is
an impeachable offense, but a president lying to
enlist support for a war in which thousands die is
solid defense policy.
12. Government should limit itself to the powers
named in the Constitution, which include banning gay
marriages and censoring the Internet.
13. The public has a right to know about Hillary's
cattle trades, but George Bush's driving record is
none of our business.
14. Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a
crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then
it's an illness and you need our prayers for your
recovery.
15. Supporting 'Executive Privilege' for every
Republican ever born, who will be born or who might be
born (in perpetuity.)
16. What Bill Clinton did in the 1960's is of vital
national interest, but what Bush did in the '80's is
irrelevant.
17. Support for hunters who shoot their friends and
blame them for wearing orange vests similar to those
worn by the quail.
I hope that helps.

Bush said he 2000 I will be a compassion conservative to reach out to all Americans. First six years of Bush not one spending bill was vetoed by Bush that passed the Republican Congress. The past two years Bush learn to spell veto. Money for war not for kids. So much for the compassion uncle George.

Please read the details as stated. Then perhaps you may see it is because of over a half million who qualify that are NOT yet on the program where an enormous percentage of adults are, is just one reason. Cigarette tax from 39 cents to ONE dollar? and more pork than a zillion pigs could barrel.

Maybe if the Democrats hadn't proposed to expand the program to include blood-sucking welfare recipients who are 24 and refuse to get a job because their parents make $80k a year, Bush wouldn't have vetoed it. Besides, this program is a big first step towards the nation's upcoming "Hillary-care" legislation, to be paid for by the middle-class.

That wasn't the issue! The bill was too expensive and full of waste. Why can't Congress just pass a bill and not have it tied to something else. Congress is to blame and they are irresponsible!

That was a bill that wasn't passed for good reason. Hats off to Pres. Bush for his smart insight! You need to read your information-you're brainwashed. That bill was for non legal residents and their kids up to 25 years old. It was a B.S. bill to begin with. Dont worry, my hard earned tax dollars will continue to pay for all the welfare/illegal immigrants who dont pay taxes to care for their children. Where's the fairness in having to pay for mine AND theirs?! That's the REAL question.. Most of the rich have most likely worked hard for their money. They didn't put their hand out and demand things be given to them. The world owes nobody nothing. Make your own way.

GREED????
The greed is for those who expect me to pay for their kids....
Do you really think the money doesn't come from millions of hard-working Americans like me....Killing themselves for a buck!
If you can't afford them, don't have them. Don't raise my taxes!
The American dream will be dead if I keep working to pay for my own health care and others keep taking from my stash because they can't better themselves. The dream is for those to chase and accomplish...not those who ursurp!
