Most grocery and drug stores sell RIT dye. It's very easy to use. Just follow the directions on the package.

If it's a natural fabric like cotton, dye it with a cold dye (you'll need to buy a load of salt to add to the dye) and follow the instructions on the box. I've used cold dyes and they always give good results. A different dye is needed for synthetic fabrics, and might cost more, too.

Try Rit Dye, you should be able to find it at a craft store.
