How do I erase individual songs from my ipod? I have about 600 songs on it, and want to get rid of a few. Step by step instructions would be appreciated.

Thanks

open iTunes.
Delete the songs that you do not want anymore in iTunes.
Sync iPod with iTunes.

connect your ipod and open itunes. once it recognizes your ipod, whatever u named your ipod will appear on the left side. underneath it, it will say music. click on that. all the music that is on your ipod will appear. then click the songs you want to delete and then press delete. (hint: if you would like, u can hold down the control key and select each song you want by clicking on it. then press delete and every song that is highlighted will be deleted. if you would like to select a bunch of songs that are right in a row, select the first song, hit the shift key, then select the last song in the group u want selected. this will highlight all of the songs between the first and last songs. then you can press the delete key.) hope this helps!

highlight the song. right click and delete the song. it will also ask if you would like to delete the song from your music media folder. click no if you would like to upload the song in the future.

an easier way is to just uncheck the box next to the song and then re-synch your i-pod to your i-tunes library and from there it will no longer upload those unchecked songs on th i-pod
