Shouldn't this be HIS decision that HE makes in one of the books? Who does this woman think she is closing the door behind him? Better question, will this revelation have any impact on your interest in reading these books now?

FWIW, my eyes have NEVER read one of the Potter books! My sister-in-law LOVES them, but there is no appeal for me. Give me a character who loves himself LESS than Harry Potter! *grin*

You make it seem like because we're gay, this is a HUGE conspiracy to us, when it's not. Straight people have been more angered over this than us, we think it's funny, and cute, and a bit surprising that Jk would even say something like that after the books are over. Straight people are posting homophobic comments about how they'll never read the books again, and they can't look at Dumbledore the same way.

Um, he's a fictitious character. J.K. Rowling is the author, she created the character, so she can do as she pleases.

If you're referring to the actor that plays him, Ian McKellen, he 'came out' long ago.

lol Go Rowling! That's awesome, I can just imagine how all them crazy Christians will react to hearing that.

But no, it wouldn't affect my reading the series. Her killing off some of my favorite characters did kinda piss me of though. -_-

Better that we found out he's gay from Rowling than by having poor Dumbledore sit next to Larry Craig in a public restroom. :P

You seem to forget that the author has absolute authority over her work of fiction. And personally I am delighted to welcome such a respected and venerable character to our ranks. I continue to enjoy Ms Rowling's work and hope she decides to continue!
