Actually, for people that don't know, that was Manny's quote when a reporter asked him about a misdeed he did. I believe it was when he asked for a trade during one offseason (not sure..it was a while ago).
His quote was "That's Manny being Manny you know" Since then the quote has stuck
We still love the guy, he's worth the $18 million he gets paid. He produces.

All he does is hit better than anyone on the planet. Everything else he does, ie: having a great time playing baseball and treating it like the game that it is, is just Manny being Manny.

He marches to the beat of his own drum, like everyone should. It may not always be for the best, but at least he's genuine and an individual rather than public image robots like A-Rod and Jeter.

It's an excuse the media and Red Sox fans have every time that airhead does something stupid. It has gotten quite old listening to it.
