I took a pregnanct test two days before my missed period(yesterday) and it showed negative?

The home preganancy test i took was accunate one step cassette i wanted to use first response but the store clerk insisted that they both would give the same result . I google it but found nothing informative about that Home preganancy test, any one ever tried accunate before? is it a good HPT

Tests all differ in sensitivity to HCG and, unfortunately, in the amount of dye they use.

Here is a list of tests and their sensitivity. Obviously, the lower the sensitivity, the earlier you might get a positive reading. (I recommend First Response Early Result - some studies show the sensitivity at under 10 mIU):

No home pregnancy test will work right until you're late for your period. Even the ones that claim to show results 4-5 days early. they only work in a small percentage of cases tested, only a small amount of women actually produced enough hormones to be detected.

You should never test until you're late.

All pregnancy tests use the same technology, if one says 4 days early, and the other also says 4 days early, theyre both exactly the same. Theyre made the same, test for the same thing, and with the same technology. Theres only a few companies that manufacture the tests, although they are packaged by different companies under different product names.

I'm 28 weeks and got a pos HPT 4 days before I expected my period. First Response and Clear Blue, same results. And they were accurate. Take whatever test you want, don't let anyone discourage you from using a certain brand. I don't believe they all work the same. Different tests detect at different levels of the preg. hormone.
