You may be in grade 8 but learn this now. NEVER use wikpedia for your information source when you start high school and college the majority of instructors/teachers wont accept information from this website because it is NOT substantiated. In other words anyone can add information to it but offer no proof that it is correct.
*****THEN*****if you have someone on Yahoo Answers assist in your homework questions make sure they include the the website in their .....
Know Your Source. That way you can open the link and check out the information yourself. Some people just give any answer and it might not be true.
Yes, you can ask but always remember it's YOUR home work and your responsibility to do it yourself.
Learn who on this Y Q&A who sincerely likes to help.
Also learn to use Spell check.

I think it depends on how you use the information. If you ask us for help in finding sources on Japan, that's fine. Or if you ask for some ideas on how to make your project more creative, that's fine too!
However, you should not ask us to write anything and use that, because you have no way of verifying how knowledgeable the source is or how reliable the information is. Even if you cite it, it's still not good.
I might also add here, that Wikipedia is also NOT considered a reliable source and your teacher may prohibit it!
Stick with websites with .gov, .edu or that are a recognized news source such as MSNBC, CNN, NBC, etc.
Also, as a general rule when doing research, you should NEVER get all your information from the same source!

No because it's "hearsay". Imagine you reference page ... Someone told me that blah blah blah. You have nothing to back it up than what someone told you. Which could be true or false.

Go to the library and pull out a couple of books on the subject. Go online and use some sort of encyclopedia. You'll get a better grade because the teacher will know that you worked to find the info and not just that your grandma or grandpa told you about it, let alone bunch of YahooAnswers strangers.

You could use it for general guidance. If you use answer given, then you would have to site your source. On very limited bases teacher might find your creativity interesting as long as you showed number of traditional souses.
