Your freedom...
I can have my religion and not impose on your freedom. However, there are those who would take away your freedom in the name of their religion.
sagacious_ness; You've made a common error of which most liberals are guilty. The Constitution states we have freedom "OF" religion not "from." If you choose not to be religious that is fine and not my problem. By the same token, I should not have to "hide" my religion from you as not to offend you. There is nothing in the Constitution that states I should or that that is a requirement. Liberals just don't get that part. Just like the part where it says freedom "OF" speech. It means you have the right to be stupid and say what ever you want but it doesn't give you the right to an audience. You can mouth off as much as you like but nothing says I have to listen.

This is a double edged sword the way it is worded.
Your freedom could impose upon my religion or vise verse.
Freedom comes with responsibility to protect another to also be returned with such.As long as your freedom is not imposing and mine is not on you that freedom is but to each of us our religion should be to each as a guild to respect the freedom of free will and chose.
Some thing to think about.

Your freedom... which includes freedom from my religion...
and I'd like the same courtesy in return :-)
Iceman.... you make a valid point. I was not implying nor did I intend that my religious freedom would restrict your freedom or require that you keep your religion hidden. However, your Constitutional right OF religion does encroach on my freedom if it is used to legislate and to restrict my rights. I'm speaking of "faith based" initiatives and government funding of religious coalitions. For example:

---- Bush Plans $1.5 Billion Drive for Promotion of Marriage

Also questionable is giving $24 million in Homeland Security grants to Jewish non-profit organizations, including temples and synagogues, under the auspices of "anti-terrorism" when the department spokesman said one faith group was not necessarily at greater risk than another.

"Moody Red" how would it be even possible to practice what
ever faith you aspire to. If the freedom to live in peace. And
without persecution is not part of the societal structure that
in which you live. It goes without saying . Simply put one
can not exist without the other.

The answer to this question is very simple for a TRUE American to answer.
Your freedom!
Why?
Simple. If you aren't free to practice your religion, then I'm not free to practice mine.
If I don't allow you to practice what you believe, then I should not be allowed to practice what I believe.
From a LEGAL viewpoint, that simplifies he choices a court has in making decisions regarding the practice of Religion.
If a religion teaches its followers to persecute or eliminate those practicing another faith, then THEY must be denied the right to practice their religion.
Therefore, Wahhabism should be eliminated from the U.S.A.
The elimination of the practice of Wahhabism is Constitutional and just!
Wahabism teaches its followers that killing "infidels" is blessed by Allah and such killings are encouraged.
That violates the rights of ALL Americans of other faiths and therefore it would be a CRIME to permit the practice of Wahhabism in the U.S.A. - It has NOTHING to do with whether or not the religion is Christian.
For the SAME reason, the KKK, which claims it is a Christian organization, should be banned!

Freedom is the most important thing. I don't believe people should control other people to fit their own religious system.

And who told you that my religion doesn't allow freedom? Freedom is born with all people at birth. It's how we use that freedom that concerns me. Don't you think.? Even freedom should have laws. Or how else would we know not to kill our neighbors? Who was here first, God or Bush?
