i was listening to the radio and she has just released that Dumbledore was GAY!!!!! what do you think??

That makes me sick.
I love(d) Harry Potter to the extent of making a "Harry Potter Corner" in my room when I was littler, and reading the books at least 5 times each.
Making Dumbledore is unnecessary to the books and just makes me SICK.
JK Rowling is not so much my idol any more. She used to be my role model as I dream of becoming a children's books author, and I looked up to JK. Not so much anymore. Stupid liberal.

Well personally, I was never a big Harry Potter fan. I've only seen the first movie and that was it, didn't read any of the books. I'm sure it was an awesome series....
I don't think it really leads up to that Dumbledore was gay up to the point JK outright said it all of a sudden just now. So, not having any love interests(love interests? Come on, he's an old guy) doesn't make someone gay. That's why some people stay single their whole lives and don't date until they feel ready to. If it kept saying Dumbledore was hitting on other guys at Hogwarts, then you can probably suspect he's gay.
JK made a big mistake. Should've kept him in the closet. Now they're going to ban all the Harry Potter books here in the homophobic US.
I'm not gay, but I think people are making too big of a deal about gays. Everyone should just mind their own business. They don't bother you. I'm not one to champion gays for their own homosexuality either, but the government is hypocritical for always messing with gays since the government is supposed to treat all people equally regardless of religion, sex, race, or background.

I seriously doubt she said that. The person who said that was probably joking or they made it up.

Wow, I just did a search on that and she really did say that! Well, I can't say that I really like that as a part of the plot, but I don't think it really makes much difference. I never would have guessed that from reading the books. And sorry for not believing you before.

I was completely shocked, but it kinda makes sense if you think about it. Dumbledore never seemed to have any love interests throughout the whole series and for someone who believed in the power of love that was kind of odd.

iv never heard it maybe your just another Amercain if you get my drift. Harry potter would be more famous if it was a Usa film as u just stereotyped and get all the attention. But theys relle not much differance as its already a famous film. so how mega famous could it be. therefor there is not much differance between the uk and usa in mega differance so u guys stop acting like u cool or us rich folks will get the drukens out the pubs to come teach you a lesson......

I can't see the importance, or how it pertains to the character. Where does gay headmaster fit into the story?

well i am a huge fan of harry potter and honestly i dont think it makes a difference anymore now that he is dead if she would have released that information like right after the 1st book was published it would have made a difference but now that the series is "over" it makes no difference

I think it will give idiots more of a reason to try to get it off the shelves. And it's really not a child's book anymore. I think she went too far and alot of this is just her saying "look at me I can write what I want it's my book."
