i understand it was the first performance but i didn't think any have shown real promise as in previous years, i would have to say nikki and beverley were the best, and i agree hope looked like a bunch of prossies.

Absolutely p!ss poor selection.
The producers have gone for the 'story' instead of the talent. Something tells me they've earmarked the young singer Emily or that vile girl band who look like a low grade bunch of lapdancing prostitutes!
None of them deserve to win!

What is the matter with you lot!!! It was the first week and they had never been onstage before, let alone in front of millions, is this place called Answers, or Moaners... There were a few really good singers in there, Nikki, Beverly and the boy band, (I don't like boy bands) but they were very good.. especially that they were put together for an experiment, the girls, too... Give 'em a break... I will watch it to the end, we will be in the US when it comes to a conclusion but I will be watching over there..

Same here,I watched practically the whole show and to me there were mediocre/OK acts,but I don't think the majority of them are solid at this stage-although there is always room for improvement,I think some performances where just a bit to flat whereas last year I could clearly see some people with real potential,if I were voting I would be unsure of wh to vote for..although I think that Rhydian was probably one of the better performances-despite his personality and I guess 'hope' were but yet again nothing to striking.

This is the first year that I don't like any of them. That Opera singer put on a good performance but I think everyone else the nerves got the better of them. .. What was up with Sharon I thought she was acting a bit odd .. probably done a bit of Ozzies nose up before the show lol
I think the girl band Hope will win though ..

I agree with Gartom... it has been really bad this year... in fact its so bad ...that instead of focusing on the talent... the producers have had to rely on sob stories and Rhydian to keep the public interested

I thought that Nikki was really good and thats it! She stood out a mile.
Dont forget its the first week, they must have been so nervous. Theyre not professionals.

I was disapointed by quite a few of the acts, thought they certainly lost it but mostly from bad songs rather than just nerves. Niki was definatly the best, still i cant decide who i want to go!

IMO..it's always been utterly crap...they should ban it from TV, especially on a Saturday night...i mean, the programs on TV for Saturday nights are getting worse, no wonder people go out to the pub...I'd be there now but I'm skint after last night.

1st week and think nerves got the better of some of them. Cant see how you can say that they were all bad though, Nikki was outstanding and although it gripes me to say, Rhydian was quite entertaining as well

None were that good tonite, but they will all have training and improve as the weeks go on. Although Nicky seemed to fair better than the rest in my opinion anyway.
