Leonard Nimoy as older Spock
Zackary Quinto as young Spock
Chris Pine as young Captian Kirk
Karl Urban as Dr. McCoy
Simon Peggs as Scotty
John Cho as Sulu
Anton Yenchin as Chehov
Zoe Saldana as Uhura
and
Eric Bana as villainous Nero

What do you think of those actors? Do You think the TOS characters are good enough to play in a prequel? Why or why not?

Which species do you think Nero will be? Alot of speculations that Nero will be Romulan but it does not prove Nero could be Romulan. Many Star Terk fans found a movie with Eric Bana, which is "Romulus, My Father." In this Australian movie, there is no connection with Star Trek.

What will you think the outcome of this movie in next year? I think this would be the biggest movie of the year in 2008.

I think the casting is as close to perfect as anyone could get. At least the potential's there. I too think this will be probally the 'biggest' Star Trek movie since 'The Wrath of Khan' and can't wait to see it! ;P

Yes I think the curiousity factor will allow the movie to break even alone, and make a bundle if it's actually good. There really hasn't been anything fresh and new in Trek for years at the movies, not a lot of people wanted to see old casts making movies many years after TV or right after TV (with TNG) The characters are timeless, and they have some good talent there. I'm a little concerned by Pegg and Cho, coming from comedy backgrounds, not so much that they don't resemble Scott and Sulu. Nero I think will be a Romulan from the future trying to kill Captain Kirk, but as they at this point haven't seen a Romulan they will think he is a Vulcan.

Most of the casting seems to be alright. My only doubt is Karl Urban as Bones. I just don't know if he "fits" the part.

Have no idea what species Nero will be. Maybe he will be some new type of alien we haven't yet seen in Star Trek.

As a long time Treker I'm really looking forward to this film. I just hope that it's good!

Gary Sinise is rumored to be solid as McCoy. ultimately word, Kirk replaced into going to be performed via Matt Damon. yet that replaced into in simple terms a rumor on iMDB quite a few months in the past. no longer something considering that.
