There are 1,3 billion Muslims. The radicals are the minority. And this minority embraces Ultra-Conservatism. Just like our right-wing fundies here in the US.

It's simple, all these other people are making it seem like someone is right and someone is wrong here, but that's not the case. Muslims, all muslims, have their own beliefs in which they strictly adhere to. That doesn't make them hate liberals, or Americans. What makes them hate liberals is the forced occupation and the fact that we are forcing our idealogoy onto a country and a people who already have their own.

Radical muslims use religion to gain political power and to make others fearful of them and to legitimize their actions.....However, they are totally wrong.
There are 1 billion muslims in the world.....some have lost their marbles, but there are many who live well with others and contribute to society and are able to get along with people of other faiths and ideas.

One of the reasons I can think of is that to them anything that empowers women goes against their beliefs. They want society to remain male dominated and for men to be able to treat women like property. They feel like it's their religious duty to take the Koran literally.
