I don't understand why there has to be a minimum drinking age.
I believe children should be taught to drink responsibly by their parents. Like they do in Europe or Africa, or Asia. As a young child I was given small amounts of wine and beer with my meals.
It was a cultural thing. We never did like to get drunk. That was just stupid as far as we were concerned. And it has served us well all the days of our lives. I support strict laws which prosecute those who abuse alcohol in anyway. People who drink and drive or are abusive when drinking should not drink period. And if they won't control themselves then jails are there to protect society from this kind of abuse.

It's 18 where I am and I think it's fine.

People in America where it's 21 start drinking around the same time as people in England where the age is 18 do, so I don't see the need really.

it should be lowered to 18. I don't see the point of the drinking age being 21. It makes no sense.

Lowered to 19. Even though many people that age are still too imature some people are still like that well over the age of 21. I myself am 19. Everyone my age seems to drink anyways.

i think of it is going to stay an identical, yet I additionally think of the regulations of underage eating could exchange into greater harsh. little ones don't get how severe that's that in the event that they drink andchronic. Its not humorous. human beings die, get maimed, are left as quadriplegics from this. To me that's purely too severe a value. i don't think of any save could sell to little ones, or their friends, or people who're paying for it for them. If caught, it is going to be a detention center sentence. era. Ditto for bars that permit little ones 18 to pass into. in the event that they serve them and the toddlers are below age, close the damn place down, no reopening. There purely must be a crack down on all of it. era. i think of too, mom and father might desire to renowned what their little ones are as much as, and if caught, they might desire to pay a stiff penalty with that infant. How else will little ones learn? eating isn't humorous, or a pastime. It kills human beings, it reasons alcohol poisoning. You lose your license and in some states won't graduate. Is that properly worth it?

In my opinion, I think the age should go back to 18. At that age, a person can vote, a person can go into the military and fight for their country, they can buy tobacco . . . .But not drinking at this age?? It just doesn't make sense.

if anyone says lowered then they must be out of their minds. sorry but teens these days are not mature enough to drink. with all these drunk driving and killing, i think its best to be rather raised.

Raised. That way there wouldn't be so many college girls getting raped and not knowing what happened.
