Most Republicans are so impressed with patriotic empty rhetoric that they have forgotten the actual sacrifices made in the past. All you need to do is wave the flag and sing Lee Greenwood songs and they would nominate Daffy Duck and elect him if he spoke of God, Mama and apple pie. Wars are glorious with this party as long as their own are safe and sound at home. Look at the glorious example of their president and his stunning record during Viet Nam. Add to that the fact that he called the constitution a God dmmmed piece of paper. Isn't that the same constitution that he swore to uphold and defend? I might be mistaken but I also think it is the same one that our soldiers swear to uphold and defend and often give their lives for. Stunning example. I bet they have their vehicles covered with United we stand magnetic thingys and feel they are doing their part for America.
