You posted and deleted this same question last week, not sure why? Anyway, Verona is a good car with solid acceleration, nothing special or detracting about the car. Pretty much all new cars have excellent reliability until their warranty lapses, but Suzuki is known to be good beyond the 1st 50,000 miles. Since you are a new driver we can only hope your car makes it to 50K miles. If you are lucky your first accident will only be a minor 1 or 2!_! Every 16 year old I've known (myself included) got into at least 1 if not several accidents in their first 2 years of driving. So please wear your seatbelt and be careful! With that in mind, if your pops is giving you $20,000 for a car you might want to get a 3 year old car for $10K and put the other $10K into a CD at the bank for your college fund.
Edit, thanks for the PM, might have helped if you had mentioned you were looking at the 2004 model , looks like it's one of the worst cars on the road.

STOP! NO! Don't DO IT!

Is that clear enough? :)

I used to be a Suzuki tech and the Verona was a bust. The engineering department really blew it on this car and even when running properly the car is a time bomb. I replaced several motors on cars that had under 30K miles on them! I don't suggest buying ANY Suzuki, but that particular one is VERY bad.
