for things that may have happened in the past. if we live in cananda we are all canadians and should be treated equal....i don't get money from the government for things that have happened to my family in the past and i don EXPECT it either. this caledonia thing for example....if you have time to sit on land and steal from others you have time to get a real job and do something constructive and to make your family and children proud...not put innocent peoples lives at risk.......please, be honest and give your thoughts here....i like everyone, but some of this is just going way to far and some of the natives are getting away with WAY TOO MUCH!!! and this is what gives them such a bad name and it is unfortunate. i would really like to hear your thoughts.

wow...i think a few of you need to get some facts straight...your tax dollars are going in to the pockets of many native communities and once the government turns them over to the natives the natives do not take care of what they are given....it doesn't matter who was here first, i am sure you would not think that way if they set up camp on your property and forced you out of your own home and beat up your children because they decided that you were living on thier land...although you bought it, paid taxes and work hard everyday to pay for it. i am jsut a middle income hard working canadian and want my home back. plus they keep their faces covered and do not own up to what they do that is wrong.

there are two natives that live across from my sister and her family and they do not work and the wife told my sister that they recieve a $2500 cheque from the government every month.....they couple said they have no incentive to work when they get that. that is a fact and that is your tax dollars...their children also get their schooling (college/university) 100% paid by the government.

believe me it was not told to us in any way a joke about the $2500 a month...not a joke at all!!!!!! and my opinion my change when i get my home and property back that they just came in and took....and THAT MY FRIEND IS NO JOKE EITHER!!! i am living this and i know the FACTS!! this whole thing is getting RIGHT OUT OF HAND!! the government needs to say NO anf the police need to step in and start arresting as i am sure i would have been arrested had i done this to these native people. please do not tell me any of this is being done as a joke or the money recieved is a joke either!!!

Most Natives are dirt poor. I seriously doubt they are getting way too much money. If anything, they are probably STILL getting cheated out way too much money.
