want to know the position of the zodiac signs and the position of the moon and stars on Dec 21, 2012. I cannot find an almanac that goes that far in the future

The signs of the zodiac are, as always, Aries: 0<λ<30, Taurus: 30<λ<60, etc. all the way around to Pisces, 330<λ<360. But of course, the constellations themselves aren't in those positions, as astrologers have never recognized precession of the equinoxes.

You are talking about astroLoGy and this is astroNoMy. They are completely different things. Astronomy is based on scientific methods of observation and deduction. Astrology is a superstitious and irrational.
