There are 365 in a normal year, therefore a week, is as stated previously, 7/365 which cannot be simplified. Many thanks to bab33h crush who has stated that a leap year has 364 days when in fact it has 366 days. A week in this case would be 7/366 which cannot be simplified either. There are 52 complete weeks in a year, but there will always be a remainder of either 1 or 2 days.

Its not EXACTLY 1/52

(1 year)(365 days/1 year)(7 days/week)

7/365 is the exact fraction which cannot be simplified.

But its close to 1/52

The answer is actually 28/1461.

To explain:

The denominator (bottom number) has to be a whole number and as there are 365.25 days in a year (which is why we have leap years (1 extra day) every four years), we have to multiply this by 4 giving us the denominator of 1461.

Because we have to do to the top as we do for the bottom the numerator (top number) has to multiplied by 4 also. The numerator is 7 so it becomes 28. Therefore the answer has to be 28/1461.

Hope this helps
