Still wanna say its the tax and spend liberals?

I'm going to place blame where blame needs to be placed.

Where does the buck stop?

I'm sure I'll be attacked and ol' glory Reagan isn't to blame and the boogeyman attacked us on September 11 so we have to go spend 2 trillion to get saddamm hussien out of a spider hole but not osama bin laden

Boy you really fall for propaganda don't you.

Deficits need to be compared to the amount of money that the government collected in taxes.

If I make fifty thousand dollars and I spend seventy five thousand dollars my deficit spending is 50%. That is a lot. If I make two hundred and fifty thousand and I spend two hundred and seventy five thousand my deficit is only 10% even though I over spent twenty five thousand in both situations.

The largest deficits since 1915 have been under Democrats. The largest was in 1919 at a whopping 260% of income. The second largest was 1918 at 248%, The third largest was 1943 at 227%.

I could go on, but, facts tend to drive liberals crazy and make a Democrats eye's glaze over.

Nice try with the propaganda though, maybe you could find a descendant of Joe Goebbels to teach you more really interesting information that you can propagandize.

PS: Just to add another fact to your propaganda blitz, Calvin Coolidge (Republican) had the largest budget surplus coming in at 29% in 1927. Clinton's budget surplus was less than half of that. The only Democrat that came close was Truman in 1948.

Keep trying though, I am sure you can find enough uneducated people to believe your propaganda among the Liberal Democrats.

The cons will deny the realities of the chart and attempt to twist and spin the blame to be the fault of liberals. The comment made by "Ike" comes as close to the truth of the matter as any explanation I've ever seen. It's a republican trait invented by Carl Rove, something along the line of "if you can't convince them, try to confuse them."

coragryp, nailed it. What he says is happening is EXACTLY what's going on. Yes, Democrats tax more in the present, but they pay for what they spend. Republicans spend even more money, but don't take in a lot of revenue to pay for it.
The Republicans do this for political expediency. They know if they don't tax the present generation they can get a lot more people to vote for them. This is very unethical. The future generations will pay just so the Republicans can remain in power for now.
By the way...great chart !

Democrats (not liberals) do tax more than Republicans.

All that chart shows is the difference in how Democrats and Republicans expect to deal with the spending they do -- Democrats tax, so as not to run up the debt -- Republicans just borrow and live off the credit, and expect our children to pay.

Modern Republicans (NeoCons) are notorious for blaming Democrats for problems that they are the most responsible for. It's the smoke and mirrors propaganda of playing you crazy. The oldest trick in the book usually played by street trash. But NeoCons have currently taken a strong liking to it. It makes them feel good about themselves in some weird sort of way.

It's easy to point fingers. The problem is today in America people pay more attention to 30 second spots than the actual evidence. It's a really sad reflection of America.

Conservatives aren't capable of actual thought. All they do is regurgitate slogans as ordered by their propaganda ministers.

Right, we all know that the liberals don't have any pork projects. LOL. Both parties spend and tax. Just one does more then the other and throughout history that has been the Democratic party.
