FDR gave us the Nanny State so I have to leave him off.

Reagan won 49 states when he ran for re election. That speaks volumes. Then his VP got elected riding his coat tails.

Here's the correct Top 5 Order:

1. FDR - brought America through the Great Depression and WW II

2. Lincoln - held the nation together through the Civil War

3. Washington - forged the bonds of Federalism that still guide us today.

4. (Tie) Eisenhower and Reagan. Particularly Ike.

6. Bill Clinton - rant all you want, the impeachment was a damn GOP hatchet job about a personal affair. The country was safe, secure and he damn well listened to all sides.

40th (if he's lucky) George W Bush. A man of no honor, where politics is all. His Iraqi soiree will be studied for years as the greatest blunder in American foreign policy ever. His tin ear and empty head will be long remembered and regretted.

Your #5 best is going to be on the bottom. His War with Iraqi was based on a set of lies and false data. . FDR was far better and prob #3 pushing everyone else down.
Clinton was ethically amoug the worst but was a decent to good pres. You also missed a few of the 19th century lowlites...Grants, Harrison

No -- I don't agree. GWB was warned about the attacks prior to them occurring. But they happened on HIS watch. The second President that has allowed a major attack on our Country on HIS watch. GWB should be stricken from your list. The others I don't have a problem with except remove Clinton and replace him with Nixon.

Don't forget to talk about how great the economy is under GWB, you know how the dollar is way up and the stock market is climbing each day. haven't seen one of those posts in a while.

I'd give you a 70 on this quiz.

Reagan -
Largest deficit in history until Bush 2
Supported Saddam Hussein
Dealt drugs and weapons via Iran/Contra
Cut and ran when 241 US Marines were murdered in Beirut
Opened the door for job outsourcing

Clinton -
Balanced the budget
Violent crime reduced 50% (largest drop in history)
Greatest small business boom in 40 years
Greenspan applauds him as grasping economy more then any othe president

JFK -
(I'm not sure about his policies)
He was one of the great inspirations of this nation

Other than these, I agree with Carter being a very bad president, which is why Reagan seems better to neo-cons than he actually was.

how can you POSSIBLY EVER link Roosevelt and Lincoln with Bush!!!! Roosevelt and Lincoln and Washington were all great amazing men (who, if you knew anything about history, you would know that based on their political positions they would in current times be LIBERAL) with a bumbling idiot who enjoys invading countries and killing!!! Bush is a murderer, Roosevelt, Lincoln and Washignton were heroes.

they arent alike at all, but its nice to see another person has been taken in by FOX's lies.
