This is probably Braxton-Hicks or "pre labor" contractions which help to dilate and efface your cervix in preparation for delivery.
Most mothers know when they are in labor, although it's true many go to the hospital way too soon (i.e. before their contractions are close enough).
Still, you can always call your doctor if you are not sure or if something is worrying you.

It's probably just some strong BH contractions.
Try drinking a big glass of water, and lie down on your side for about 30-60 minutes when you start feeling crampy or contracting. Even the mildest dehydration can cause an increase in uterine irritability.
You could just end up feeling like this for many hours / days / weeks yet. Many women have episodic bouts of increased contractions that sometimes get really regular at times and are uncomfortable, but then it doesn't increase or get to the point where it ever gets any worse.
There's always a handfull of women who had very mild labors and they really didn't know they were in labor and when they finally arrive at the hospital they were completely dilated and ready to deliver, that's the rare exception to the rule. The vast majority of women will tell you that once labor really starts, you'll know it and won't be asking "I'm not sure, is this it?"
But always call your doctor if you still aren't confident. Let them decide if it's time to go to the hospital.
Good luck!

Time your contractions. False labor pains will be sporatic and will slow or disappear if you lay down or walk around. True labor contractions are perdictable example: 10 mins apart and moving closer. Bloody show doesn't mean anything. I had part of one 2 weeks before labor and the rest of it on the day of. I wouldn't get a c-section unless it's an absolute must. I was up walking around a few mins after birth but with a c-section, you'll be sore for quite a while.

You are starting to go through all of the changes to give birth. Sounds to me like you are having Braxton-Hicks contractions. The whole feeling like you gotta poop thing is the pressure of the baby coming down. Things are getting cramped in there, baby is growing. You can become constipated at this point of your pregnancy, my doctor told me to take a Colace when I started feeling that way. It is a stool softener.
Also sounds like you might be losing your mucus plug as well!
Make sure you know the difference between Braxton-Hicks contractions and the real thing!! The real ones start in your back, BH contractions are your belly only!

The baby is moving down, thats what the pressure is, and the feeling like you need to poop. Your belly will be sore, and you'll have tightness, its from the braxton hicks contractions.

I agree with the others with the Braxton, (false labor) your baby is more than likely moving. My son would actually kick me in the ribs! Ouch lol
I'm not sure about the discharge, you should probably give your OB a call to be safe.
Best of luck to you and your new bundle of joy :)

You are probably having Braxton-Hicks contractions. This is totally normal. They are pretty uncomfortable at times, though and can send you to the hospital thinking you are in labor. Good luck and congratulations!

Based on info that I've read, I would guess that the baby is dropping. Labor isn't necessarily around the corner, however. Some babies can lie for weeks with their heads practically in the canal.
