I feel the young Indian team is the future of INDIAN CRICKET. Gone are the days of mighty Sachin, Sourav & Dravid. Of course its from point of view. Individual opinion varies. I would like you to share your comments. Thanks..!

Slater hit the nail on the head when he said the selectors are going to have a tough time selecting the team against Pakistan & for the Australia tour. Gambhir & Uttappa have proved enough number of times that they are not just youngsters knocking on the doors of the Indian Team - they are rightful bearers holders of the Indian Team colours.

The Likes of Sourav and Sachin might be greatness personified but they dont belong in the Indian Team - Not if we are talking about a Quality , Fearless & vibrant side.

Yesterday our T20 team showed why we are the Champions. We just dominated the Aussies and that while chasing - our weak spot. If we seriously are looking to dominate any form of the game - the New Faces should be given the opportunity
- sticking to our tried and tested seniors is not giving us the results.

Embrace the future,

By their defeating Australia convincinglhy in the twenty/20 match hyesterday, India have proved that their winning the T20 World cup was not by fluke. It has again proved that t20 is the game of youngsters and old players are not idally suited for this format. Indian batsmen, especially Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa were fantastic in their running between the wicket and Yuvaraj Singh showed brilliance in fielding.

However, since 50 over game is entirely a different format, I strongly feel that seniors have a vital rold to play and as such Sachin, Gangully and Dravid should be persisted as long as they can perform well. It will be suicidal to play ODI matches against strong teams such as australia, pakistan and Sri Lanka with only the youngsters who are yet to prove their consistency in 50 overs match.

Australia in spite of winning the toss made more mistakes after Harbhajan and Pathan restricted them from reaching 200.While fielding and bowling they wilted under pressure making things easy for Indian batsmen.
As far as 50 overs ODI is concerned we cannot do away with all the seniors abruptly. For the time being we can have two of the seniors at a time rotating them and including more juniors because they cannot come good without some prolonged exposure.

Its good that India got rid of Ganguly and Dravid, but Sachin is the best batsman since bradman, he is an asset.

well its too early to say so!!!!
what they have performed is only in 20- 20 cricket!!!!
& that too in a few games
Sachin, Saurav & Rahul have served us for more than 10 years & that too in both forms of cricket- ODI & tests!!!
they young guns have to fire in ODIs & Tests too to really show their worth!!
