When multiplying decimals, just multiply both numbers together as though they were regular numbers (not decimals)

E.g. 4.5*2.1

Multiply them together as two whole numbers (45*21), and you get 945. Now, you have to count how many digits are on the right side of the decimal in both numbers. In 4.5, there is one digit on the right side of the decimal, and in 2.1, there is also one digit on the right side. Therefore, in the whole question, there is a total of two decimals on the right side. Because there are two, you move the decimal to the left two places.

So, 945 becomes 9.45.

The / means divide, not multiply

13/9.367 = 1.388

5.3/4.38 = 1.21

Are you allowed to use a calculator? If so, these problems are a snap. If not, then long division is required which is not hard, but takes a lot of time.
