It seems to take neo-cons about five years later than everyone else to fully grasp the reality of major situations.

the earth and animals release more greenhouse gasses than humans do, I cant believe Al Gore won the nobel peace prize for his bullshit movie. Kinda makes me sick

Neo COns do not deny global warming, anyways some of us. The issue is that there is stong debate as to the causes.

I am a neo con who thinks that the earth has cycles. It was 30 years ago that there was concern of global cooling. 15 years ago that there was a huge whole in the ozone over australia, but the size of the hole has decreased in size over the years.

The neocon debate is over causes of global warming, not does it exist.

Below

The whole damn debate is over the cause, I agree with you that it should not amtter, however I think there is a difference between human causallity and global cycles. Jesus.

There are many scientists that believe that the Earth goes through cycles of heating and cooling. It is about half and half in the scientific world as far as human caused global warming. The only reason you hear about the side that says that the cause is humans, is that's the only thing you hear about from the liberal media. Also, the people that give out the Nobel Peace Prize are so politically biased, they only hand out the awards to liberals (Carter gets one but Reagan does not?). Look up a story about how Al Gore's movie had so many inaccuracies in it that a law was passed that said if schools in Britiain showed the movie they would have to explain to students why Gore was wrong when he was wrong.

I would encourage all of you to read about what both sides have to say before making your conclusions

international warming... yep in simple terms like international cooling in the 70's and early 80's. Oh yeah, it may no longer be a organic cycle... it is not even some thing well worth finding into, and you know, we may be able to comprehend the cycles, cuz the international is hundreds of thousands of years old and we've under 2 hundred years genuine learn on environment era, much less on international warming, yet they opt to pretend that they know already.

The funny part of all this is just ask a Neo-con to answer the following scenerio:

Let's say there is no global warming, what's the harm in doing all the conservational measures anyways? They can only help, so why not just do them regardless?

Then watch them dance around the subject like their feet are on fire.

======
Side note.....Big Mike, who the hell cares who caused it? I don't care who caused it. No one is looking to point fingers. That will NOT solve anything. That is the problem with the Cons...all they want to do is point fingers rather than solve the issue. WHO THE $*&%#@( CARES WHO CAUSED IT? LET'S JUST $&^*%# FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!

I think that with Global Warming, the evidence is around you and everybody in the country knows it.

I think that they finally came around a few weeks ago, not because they wanted to help the environment but because many conservatives also saw the evidence and started disagreeing with the President.

The only thing that the GOP cares about is getting richer.

They do not care about the environment, and most of them think that Global Warming is just a theory.

Look at their negative reaction to Al Gore winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Republican party is so out of touch with reality you would need to get an interpreter ! The new waterway near Canada and Alaska is imaginary . And the ice caps melting is purely normal . Now lets not allow abortion or condoms for teens . Lets just keep making baby's and let the world fix itself.

To their credit, most GOP politicians publicly accepted human-caused climate change years ago. However, they did it quietly and still opposed all actions to address it (with the exception of McCain).

The force behind the deniers has always been talk-radio. Sadly, this is where many right-wing voters (especially those on this board, it seems) get their info.

Many paleoclimatology projections put us still coming out of the last Ice Age in a natural process. The Earth's climate is a huge system, and is not so easily understood as libs make it out. The thing to be most wary of is making a direct correlation between localized weather patterns, and macro-scale climate change.

No -- the arguments just changed.

It went from -- "there is no such thing as global warming" -- to "global warming is a natural cycle and man has nothing to do with it".

It's called making excuses -- anything so that those who don't want to take responsibility for their actions can avoid having to spend money and effort in developing clean safe renewable energy sources.
