Following on from the question the other day, I wouldn`t claim to be sprirtualy adept as I believe I always have room to grow and learn. I would prefer to say though that I believe, spiritually I still have much to learn. I don`t believ I can travel a great distance astraly.

To be frank with you, I don't know. Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by "ego". Is this the "true self" or the "soul" or is it our psychic armour? I would say that I am not entirely spirtiually undeveloped, and I would not claim to be an adept. I would be very cautious of anyone who claimed to be adept. Chances are high that they might be an evil manipulator. A truly adept person would not claim, but show the way on an individual one to one basis with his or her followers. I have an interesting book for you to read, if you ever get the chance. It's called "Dweller on Two Planets" by Phylos, and you used to be able to get it from Borden Publishing Company. Your college library will almost certainly have a copy. One interesting fact from here - I went to look it up in Princeton University's main library and found an original (!!!!) copy there of the sequel "An Earth Dweller's Return". This book was written about a hundred years ago and talks about things that were not invented until the 1920s or later.

Hi RENA, I think astral projecting, Is maybe a possibility, Using the ego boosted, spirit to leave the body while the body is in a sleeping state. To release the spirit to fly different distances. If it is a special gift from God then it could be very real for some.Who maybe have higher plan`s in God`s design and reason.

It depends completely in your personality and the experiences that you just acquired every day. The ego is attached also to dreams and realities that you have in your periods of childhood and adulthood. At the end, you have to imagine that -and sometimes to believe- your whole body, acts, dreams, and imaginations are astral. You will just awake when you die and this is the most harsh fact that everyone must live with.

A spiritually developed ego is the best, undoubtedly.

For the other part of your question, there is some one who had done it all before all of us, tens of thousands of years ago, Maharshi Patanjali. If you get to read his book on Patanjali Yoga, you will get all your answers.

The ego for me is the "monkey mind" and I am not "developing" it in the slightest.
