such as that of Iraqs? Isn't it curious that they want freedom as long as its spelled out in one of the Bibles? Can freedom exist if someone else thinks a particular freedom is immoral?

Seems to me the Democrats are in power in Congress and that in the Constitution there is a clear statement about "separation of church and state." I would hope the US would not revert to what the founders fled Europe from in the first place - religious persecution. Besides if you put representatives of all of the different religions in one room you couldn't get any of them to agree on anything even if Hades was beginning to frost.

What I know about the Quarran (sorry sp) is that at one time, before extremists took power, the Muslim religion was much more tollerant of all religions.

Where did you get the idea for your question? Interesting and thought provoking.

Yes, the Republicans would just love to have their version of the Taliban ruling the US, religious police the whole thing. The US is the most conservative of all the western countries by far.

I've voted Republican a half-dozen times and that's not what I want.
I don't care who has an abortion and I don't care how many they have.
Don't believe everything the rabid politicians say about your fellow citizens.
