This happened in Montgomery, AL....the couple returned and found their home a mess. After sending his wife to her sister's the homeowner walked through the house and ran smack into the intruder. He held a gun on the culprit and made him sit on the floor until he decided what to do. Then he made the guy clean everything up, fold and put away clothes, etc...all the while holding the gun on him. When the house was back in order he called the police. The robber complained about having to clean up and the officer laughed! I love it! :-)

Steve...that's just what the police officer said when the robber whined about being forced to clean up! He told him he was lucky the guy didn't shoot him dead! ;-)

You know, that would be a PERFECT way to PUNISH anyone who was intruding into a home .. to MAKE Them not just clean up the place, but to also PAY for ALL The items damaged ... stolen, whatever.
KUDOS if this happened! Me. I have a Security System, and it would have gone off. I would HOPE that the police would respond (since it is monitored 24/7 and direct connect) ... and that the jerk would be caught.
UNFORTUNATELY ... the ACLU will probably look at this as "Cruel and Unusual Punishment"!

That was a quite charitable man, I admire his restraint. I would have shot the intruder dead.

ha! i woulda shot him in his knee and did the whole Scarface thing, saying "if you ever come into my house again, i won't just shoot your kneecap! i will aim higher! capishe!!"
