I find it quite pathetic, actually.

Last time they won, no one (besides the genuine fans) even knew it was happening (or cared) - but when they did suddenly everyone was blabbing on about "our boys" and "heroes" with tears in their eyes.

For those who genuinely care about this game and have always followed it, then I am happy for you and hope they win.

But for the rest of you, stop fecking bandwagoning.

For me it's a quustion of someone pulling on on a sports shirt for England or the UK depending on that sport. I'm too old to play now but my sports were rugby and cricket. I still enthuse when we win at badminton, tennis and the like. Don't slag off the patriots matey, there are still a few of us left. Leave the "bandwagoning" (sic) guys alone. It might mean that a few more kids take up rugby rather than falling over and clutching their leg every time someone brushes against them.

whats wrong with wanting a british team to do well. We all do it when it comes to the olympics and we chear for british sportsmen and women in sports we would never usually watch.

It sometimes takes a big sporting success to get people interested in a sport, lets hope England Win and then people start watching more rugby on a more frequent basis.

Hey now, I have been around this section for quite a few weeks, so speak for yourself.

Anyway, what is wrong with everyone wanting to get behind their country?

Can't we show some patriotism?

i think it's the same as the tennis-or any sport actually. there's nothing wrong with getting involved-maybe these people just dont have the opportunity to see it before and then when it's on realise they like it. lighten up.
