okay, so there is this guy, lest call him tommy. I liked tommy for quite a while now, and I'm friends with his friend, lets call him dylan. So, I told dylan that I like tommy, and dylan 'set us up'. dylan said that tommy liked me, and to my surprise, he asked me out to go somewhere 'sometime'. (god knows when that is). He seemed to like me .. at first. but now, he ignores me, and talks to me disrespectfully on msn, like, being jerky. I asked dylan to help me, but he refuses, and said that its tommy's descision. Its been 2 days, and no sign of a date plan yet. How can i get him to plan a date, or at least tell if he still likes me? helppp!

It could be that they might just be playing a trick on you but if you do trust Dylan than that shouldn't matter. If Tommy did say he liked you than you will have to ask him yourself to see if he really does. For the MSN thing, it could be just that he was busy or someone (like his little brother for example) was just on his MSN.
It's only been two days, there really isn't nothing much to do except wait a little longer. It could be that Tommy is still a bit nervous and doesn't know what to do. It would be better if you talked to him personally rather than on MSN, then you'll know it really is him and not anyone else.

I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the guy doesn't like you. This is obvious! Trust me, if a guy really likes a girl, he does't treat her rudely or say things like "yeah, I'll take her out SOMETIME". If a guy likes you, he can't WAIT to take you out. Why would you want to date a guy that is disrespectful of you? Wake up! You must not think very much of yourself to want to date a guy that you just said treats you "jerky". Do you understand that if he treats you this way now, how much worse it will be if you start dating him? Have some self respect. If you don't respect yourself then neither will others. You deserve better and you need to get this through your head. This guy is a LOSER with a capital L! Please be smart and do what is best for yourself. Move on!

Let me answer your question with a question...
What are the traits you most desire in a partner? Do you think that the man you love should ever ignore you or talk down to you? Knowing what you are really looking for in a partner is of the utmost importance here. To make a bad decision based on looks alone could lead to many years of abuse and violence in a relationship.
The person with whom you associate in a romantic way should be one that knows how to communicate. I know... I know... men are not the greatest communicators. Well... that's no excuse for compromising your values just to be liked.
So... my advice to you is to forget this guy until he matures to a point where, instead of ignoring you and acting "jerky" to you online, he can share his feelings honestly, no matter what they are!
A really good book on this subject is "In the Meantime" by Iyanla Vanzant. My mother sent it to me after I divorced my first wife. My current wife and I had both read this book before we ever met and believe it had a lot to do with how we approached our relationship. I have been married 5 years now and have never been happier. We have a wonderful relationship based on honesty, integrity, communication, and a shared set of values. I highly recommend the book.

I'd dump him, if he treats you disrespectfully I'd tell him stop or we're done, and about the date, just ask "Tommy" when a date might be coming up. Good luck.

if tommy is being a jerk 2 u, just ignore him. maybe he has changed his mind or met someone else. but if hes acting like that, hes not the one for u.

don't take the instant messenger thing seriously. peepl always say things on line that they wouldn't to your face. just make sure he knows that he was being a jerk and tell him to stop. about the date thing, that's just guys for ya. unorganized, kinda flaky in their own sweet way. just remind him that he asked you out and that he needs to get back to you on when and where. if he's not back to you in a week, the relationship just isn't gonna work, because he's not committed enough to you. just don't freak out. you might be overestimating him a little.

Have you been getting an attidude with him or have you been rude aroud him to other people
If he likes you lets put it this way girls like guys and some times we are mean to them so he probebly likes you he is just being mean to youto show off
