Dos anyone know the long term plans for Lone Mountain--will it be the next 'Summerlin'? We are looking to move out there and are torn between the 2. We can get a bit more for our money in LM, but Summerlin is established. Basically, will LM turn out to be a poor-planned city with tons of renters and no infrastructure or will it turn out to be as nice as Summerlin?

I'm not sure about Lone Mountain, but they are currently in the stages of developing Providence which is off Durango/215. It will be a master planned community just like Summerlin. They are making it very green & have planted trees everywhere. There are lots of new housing developments & communities being built, & of course the LV real estate market is in a bit of slump right now....so now might be the time to buy with lots of great buyer incentives.

They've also built a brand new hospital in the area & are planning to build the mall of Las Vegas very near. A new library is in the works & of course lots of great shopping centers, restaurants & schools.

Summerlin is a great place and a little high on the property rates. Not familar with Lone Mountain. I live in Henderson and love it here. I just purchased a house in Anthem - Seven Hills. You may want to check that place out
