On the Yahoo homepage, more and more articles are done as video clips. They are useless for me since I am deaf. I did ask them to do something about it but they never replied my email. Do you have any suggestions on how to get Yahoo to put caption on all of their online video clips? Thanks!

That is a VERY good point. You know i never thought about that. I suggest writing to the company and asking them nicely to try and do something like that. If you dont hear back, get a little agressive! I will write them a message myself this afternoon on your behalf. If you get enough people asking for it, i'm sure a change will be made.

or we can threaten law suits, i know a bunch of lawyers :-P

EDIT: (posted 10/20 12:58pm to Yahoo! Customer Care Center)
It was brought to my attention by a friend of mine who is hearing impaired, that Yahoo! is using more video clips to distrubute news. The issue is, these video clips are not captioned for the hearing impaired or deaf. There is also no information provided for them to find a transcript of the sound-bite. My friend is a devote Yahoo! customer, and feels your company is denying some of its customers. I know it is moderately inconvienent to actually take the time to add captions or a link for a transcript, but i think that it would be helpful to accomidate all of your Yahoo! customers.

great question... i agree! it should be made accessible for all populations and i'm sure more than deaf people would benefit from captions on their online video clips. great suggestion to contact yahoo and make them aware of this concern.
