IMO, it was a mass murder on the part of the Government. I'm sorry but I don't care how whack your religion is you still have the freedom to practice it, even if it does happen to entail the practice of keeping an armory of illegal weapons in preparation for the end times.When the ATF started their assault David Koresch (sp?) DID tell his followers to leave but very few did, finally Janet Reno (the Attorney General at the time) ordered an out and out assault. That's when the fires broke out (they were caused by the ATF) and STILL very few people left. I suppose that zealots will fight to the death, especially if they think that they're part of the "end times" and that their death is an example of this to the world. I'm sorry because I like Janet Reno as a person, I was friends with her niece growing up and she raised her, so she was like one of my friends moms, still, it was a really stupid call on her part.

Waco was once again another federal government stepping over their bounds and getting into the peoples lifes without justification. This activity is the rise of the police state and military industrial complex. It is completely unconstitutional. They murder innocent people in the name of the FEderal REserve and their agenda. We need to take notice becasue it continues today. Look at what the IRS and FBI did to Ed and Elaine Brown. There are thousands and thousands of people supporting them in there fight against the government yet the agents acted like supporters and got them to go out of their home and then arrested them. They are both being held in separate locations and being tortured by our government right now without any family members or friends being told where they are at. This is legal under the new bush laws that were set into effect detained without a proper trial and torture being legal. We have to stay informed and not get our facts from TV there are not any facts to be found there now.
This elderly couple that haven't broken any legitimate laws are being held unlawfully and being treated like mass child murderers. We have to make a stand.They are protested an illegal tax law , they have asked to see the law that states the tax the government wants is legal and the government cannot supply one because there isnt a law for this tax.
We are the ones we have been waiting for.

Neither side acted responsibly. The Branch Davidians had more weapons than a church needs to have, and shot the ATF guys who were investigating. The government took a heavy-handed approach and didn't exercise enough care for the safety of the children inside.

The government set those buildings on fire. The British press reported on it and showed the video on their evening news, but the American press followed the goverments orders and did not report what they saw. (In other words, they lied). They have since admitted that they lied, but only because the video tape can be seen on the web and they had no choice. They used flame throwers mounted on Bradley tanks and torched the place, with the children inside.
