As in, the government does certain things under wraps whether it's inside the country or outside the country that could possibly harm us without our knowledge.

Yes. The "un-biased' American media provides us with a pre-digested perspective on the world that is very biased. In reality, the American executive branch is looking like an imperial force invading and occupying countries with distain. This is an executive branch that has taken on legislative, judgicial, and executive authority for the entire world. It has imprisoned, indefinitely detained, and tortured citizens of many countries. Clearly, America is a rogue country that ignores international laws.
This is not a new phenomenon. The CIA has been destabilizing governments throughout the world for decades. Just query on: "CIA drugs weapons"

Very, as long as politicians continue to take money from lobbyists and special Interest groups to vote for or against something for a certain group instead of for all the people. It's "We The People" , not "Me" the people!

Its nothing compared to the Irish government.........even if they are seen taking bribes.........the witness will take bribe from that man, who took the bribe..........nobody cares!
