I want to see the sample size you used to make such a clearly generalized and false statement. I have known people with PhDs who make those like the late George Wallace look like members of the Urban League, when it comes to their expressions of racism. And I've also met those with advanced degrees who are deeply religious. You are confusing public expressions of religiosity and coercive actions to convert others to that religious belief with a lack of education. I suggest you visit the nearest secular college campus. You will find examples of intolerance, cloaked in the mantle of "political correctness", which rival the thought processes of Hitler and Goebbels.

Having an education or not has nothing to do with how religious you are or if you are a racist or not. Those things are personal beliefs right or wrong.

The reason is b/c racism is based in fear. The more educated a person is on a subject the less they fear it. As far a religion goes. It is a faith base thing. You have to have blind trust and educated people always look for a practical explanation to thing. Unfortunately faith is one of those thing you have to follow blindly.

I seen people that discriminate with master degrees from accredited colleges.. they discriminate against people that teach family values, are married to one person for longer than a few years, go to church on Sunday, look for the good in people, and love God.
Discrimination crosses all educational and ethnic boundaries.
Many people with higher education look down on anyone that does not adhere to their shallow rambling values.

Educated people can still be ignorant.
Just turn on the news and watch a senator speak.
