no I didn't. I know my mother-in-law had prepared herself ridiculously. She had generators, packaged food, everything you could think of. Which in my opinon was so stupid. It's just a computer glitch if anything.and we survived without computers a long time ago.

in accordance to the 2012ers it is going to likely be the top of the international through fact a million. Nostradamus stated so 2. The Mayan calender ends 3. an Ouija Board stated so 4. there will be a pole shift 5. there will be a planetary alignment 6. there will be a galactic alignment 7. an asteroid will hit earth 8. Planet X/ Nibiru will look 9. some crystal cranium nonsense 10. we are heading right into a photon belt (despite that’s meant to be eleven. Indian Astronomer stated so 12. The solar will blow up 13. some Volcano or Earthquake 14. a Black hollow will come alongside 15. the experiments in CERN’s LHC sixteen. the Aztecs stated so (2012ers aren’t particularly good at making a distinction between them and the Mayans) 17. the arabians stated each and every 60,000 years something undesirable will take place 18. the swedish scientist which attempt to recreate the great bang (2012ers don’t be attentive to the form between Swedes and Swiss the two) 19. Time will velocity up and probable another the two stupid motives. For sane human beings, each and all the failed prophecies, the common errors interior the stuff above etc, may well be adequate to brush aside this as a undesirable Hoax. regrettably there are greater effective than adequate people who desire to have self belief any crappy tale, through fact it makes them sense clever, mutually as they are not even able to form "2012" into the seek container above.

On the news, it was said that "00" when expressed in binary "00" was not a real number, but that as far as binary language was concerned, it was an "interrupt" code.
Therefore, no, I did not believe the world was going to end, but I did believe that some computer systems would have been effected, left us with temporary gaps in service, and that the machines would have to be re-started using incorrect dates.
There's also a rumor floating around that this whole thing was started by programmers looking for work re-writing code. I have not substantiated this as I really do not care enough.
People thought at the year 1000 that the world was going to end - so I don't see why it would end at 2000.
(By the way - our calendars are off. A.D. [in the year of our Lord Jesus] dating didn't begin until several years after Christ's death - and the people who used all the old dating systems - "the third year of the reign of king whomever" made a mistake. It was discovered later on, but no one bothered to change it. I'm not sure, but I think when our calendars say 2011 it'll really be 2000. And at that time I've have a premonition for years that I will be dead - but I don't know about the end of the world.

NO - It has been ending ever since I can remember, only it has not and in my opinion, will not for quite a few million years, problem is, there will always be some very odd people threatening you with DEATH, FIRE and BRIMSTONE. Use your common sense.

I was only ten back then. My biggest fear was that all the lights would go out and I'd get separated from my family (we celebrated New Years outside the house every year).
