Unconditional love is accepting someone for who they are and what they are. It is giving your love freely without expecting anything in return. It is caring about someone and wanting them to be happy... sometimes at your own expense.

That is what it means to me.

Unconditional love means you love someone, period. There's no 'because' or 'if' or 'when' . You love them. Their happiness is your happiness. It doesn't matter that they are flawed, that they do something wrong, or don't do something right. None of that affects your love for them.

You don't want anything from them. You don't need them to do anything for you. You give without thought of getting a return on your investment, because their joy is all the reward you could ever hope for.

Agape love...The kind of love we are shown by God...We are all incredibly un-loveable creatures, yet God gave his only son, Jesus, for us...That is how much He loves each and every one of us! :)

We are commanded to love as well...I have found that people who see me as real, flawed, vulnerable, fragile, and all the other things I am, along with all the good things I am and have to offer,...And, they still choose to love me...That is a demonstration of unconditional love. I hope that makes sense...

If someone idealizes you, and loves you for who they think you are, or who they want you to be...Then that is not unconditional love...I'd even go so far as to argue that that is not love at all,...but something completely different.

Love can cover a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8

Love, by far, is the greatest thing I've ever experienced.

I don't believe it truly exists because everybody has limits and conditions,we have to or we would end up accepting really bad behaviour.

A bond that cannot be broken, not being able to hurt that person, and putting that person before yourself always.

not judging someone and excepting them for you they are. Understanding, compassion, empathy, laughter all key items needed for that kind of love.
