I haven't been a fan long enough to have an all-time favorite, although I'm insanely jealous of anyone who's seen Martin Brodeur play in real life. My favorite player right now (and for almost the whole 9 years I've been watching the NHL) is Marty Biron. He's a really solid player and he's got a great off-ice persona when he deals with the media. My team is, has always been, and will always be the Buffalo Sabres. Call me a glutton for punishment, but the let-downs are always worth it because of the highs the team can give you and the ability to believe that every season could be the one we've been waiting for. That's probably more info than you wanted, but there you have it!

Favorite player playing now: Mark Recchi, love the way he plays, the heart and aggressiveness.
Favorite Retired player: Jody Hull, he was mainly a penalty killer and did NOTHING flashy but I almost never saw him make a mistake that cost his team a goal just solid.
