Hi i just bought a 2004 Grand prix GT2. The guy said that it had a supercharger. My car is been showing the engine light and overheats and shuts off. The dealer cannot tell what the problem is. I read somewhere that it could be the supercharger oil. Can anyone tell me how i can make sure my car has a supercharger, and how to replace the oil.

No offense, but if you know so little about cars that you cannot open your hood and see if your car has a supercharger yourself, you should probably get rid of it and just get a Neon or a Pinto.
A supercharger is a substantial mechanical device, it cannot be hidden.

Open the hood and see if the engine cover says "Supercharged" on it..should look like this..

May not be causing the overheating and shut down though...have the computer checked for trouble codes...most Autozone stores do it for free.
