If your friend as offered you a job then your friend needs to petition you for a work permit.

The form your friend needs to file depends on which visa you intend to apply for. A temporary non-immigrant H1B work visa or an Immigrant work visa.

For a non-immigrant visa your friend needs to file the Form I-129 with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

For Immigrant work visas your friend needs to file the Form I-140 with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

However before filing either petition with the USCIS your friend is required file a labor condition application with the Department of Labor concerning the terms and conditions of the contract of employment. This is to show that there are no qualified U.S. workers available for the proposed employment.

If a labor certification is approved, your friend will be required to file the certification together with either the immigrant or non-immigrant visa petition with USCIS.

If this petition is successful you may then apply for your visa, you will receive the details on how to this via post/mail on how to do this if the petition was successful.

You should be aware however that for either of these visas the minimum requirements for employment are that you are capable of performing skilled labor, requiring at least 2 years training or experience, not of a temporary or seasonal nature, and for which there are no qualified workers available in the United States. Relevant post-secondary education may be considered as training for the purposes of this provision.

Well, if your in another country

-you go to the american embassy
-then your asked why should you get an american visa.
-once you have a visa, buy tickets and get a passport.

Getting a green card aint easy!!!

Sometimes at the embassy they deny your visa.

Its easier (living in boarder citites in mexico) just getting here illegally.

Once here illegally--------YOUR AN IMMIGRANT!
