I'm curious to know who Uses what OS (operating system.
I am using Ubuntu Feisty Fawn.
but are you using Linux? Windows? Mac? Unix? or what are you using?

i think you mean that your "powerhouse computer" has a 35gb hard drive not 35gb memory because that isn't even divisable you may have 32gb, but that is very unlikley, and XP isn't to bad on RAM really, i use Linux because its better, i have a ITB and a 500GB back up drive Hard drive, a quad core processor and 8GB RAM so im not too bothered what i run

Windows XP Pro (a memory hog) but my powerhouse computer has 35GB memory. So for me A hog program don't matter too much! Actually I'm talking about the regular memory.. there's even more memory for backup! It's not the system you use it's how much memory you have that makes the difference! My friend he's got triple the memory of what I have! He's a repair guy though. I got much more than I need! I could've went to Vista but my repair guy advised against it.. He says it's 3x the hog of XP Pro!

Debian Linux is what I use on the 2 servers running from my house. I find it more stable, more powerful, more secure, and it runs that way on less hardware than a windows machine needs.
Windows XP is what we have on the 3 desktop computers hooked into a home network. Its got more toys, its prettier, runs more games, and works better on the newest latest hardware that is available.
Mac is abit of both (secure, stable and pretty) and I prefer it for portables and laptops.
And Unix I prefer at work for really large servers.
Vista Im putting of for awhile because I think its good but there isnt enough available yet that makes it a worthwhile change

XP, Ubuntu 7.10 and Sabayon on a desktop, Vista and 7.10 on a laptop.
