What would be your personal reasons for fighting such a war? Morals? Freedom? What?

Well I would have to say that it would go to the Republicans. The liberals can't stomach a war for more than a day or two.

The Republicans (I want to call them the Republican Guard in this circumstance, so from this point on, that is what they will be called), will smash the Liberaltarians (again, what they would be called in a situation you describe). Mostly because the Republican Guard has been storing all its anger toward the Liberaltarians for so long, they unleash it all in one big fireball. Of course during the course of this "war" alot of Liberaltarians wouldn't show up to the battles due to their protesting that the war isn't fair and so on.
We need to let America's youth know that this could happen in the near future and they need to pick a side now!! I will open up a Republican Guard recruiting station in your town soon, keep an eye out!

What you are eluding to here would be another civil war.
I have envisioned at some point we might have something of this nature-----perhaps after a national catastrophe that would then fuel a massive rift in law and order causing us to have to fight to live.
I feel that the winner would be those who know they are defending the right values and principles and not some rhetoric pablum they have been spoon fed by a socialistic media....I say we must defend our freedoms and yes---that DOES include our 2nd amendment rights as well as traditional moral values.

I think it is coming as many are fed up with the left and the so called Conservatives RINOS.
The right would win as the left could not get their hands out of our pockets to defend them self.

LOL, you already know the answer to this but I'll indulge you on it.
The liberals wouldn't have a chance. They are (for the most part but not all) tree huggers. They all seem like they are Virgos and they don't like to fight. Conservatives tend to know how to fight and they also have little problem with using guns when necessary.
If you want to see someone run very fast and covertly, start a fight and watch the liberals scatter. This is not to say they won't fight when needed but most of them doesn't know the first thing about self defense.

The republicans would win. Liberals are a bunch of cowards and weakling pacifists..they would surrender before their first man is killed.

The fact that you think the only way to settle disagreements is through combat is very telling of your mindset. I would recommend anger management. What do you think would be left of the country after such a conflict? If republicans did win, you would kill each other off fighting amongst yourselves.
Your quality of life would be ruled by testosterone. A society much like that in Iran where the parts of the generations to follow would be killed off to prevent more liberal thinking. Nobody would win. Both sides balance each other out if you could see the forest for the trees.

I believe Republicans, and it would be about freedom. Republicans are more dedicated to the issues, their beliefs in right vs wrong, and rights of the individual. They would fight to the death to defend their beliefs.
Republicans believe anyone one in this country can succeed on their own merit, and should be free to seize the opportunities available to them.
Freedom of speech
Freedom to work and live as you desire.
Freedom to attend school and church
Freedom is the most important, and precious thing we possess in this country.
