If I had a dollar for every Mike I met, I'd have quite a few dollars.

Do the kid a favor and don't name hime Mike.

This goes for Joe, George, and Robert also.

It's highly doubtful that your opinion that the world has too many Michaels or Mikes is going to sway any parents-to-be that really like that name. I know a lot of Mike's, too, but each is different and unique. According to the SSA, Michael has been #1 or #2 in popularity for at least the last 25 years. Jacob has been the most popular since 1999. Some names are just timeless names and people like them.

Michael is a great name, strong and classic. It's much better than the ridiculous trendy names people choose just to be "different".

If I meet another McKayla, McKenzie, Mc, Jayden (boy or girl), Nevaeh, -Lynn or Rae, I'll puke! I'd much rather meet another Mike, so quit dissing good classic names.
