As a Brit, this will be my first visit to the USA. Where in South Carolina would you recommend I visit?

I have a brother in Summerville, SC just outside of Charleston which is a very historic city and has lots of sites for tourists as well as shopping and fine dining. I also would recommend Mrytle Beach for a day or two...lots of entertaining things to do and shopping. Have fun!!

I went to North and South Carolina many moons ago. Charlottesville is very nice, and a must is Mrytle Beach. Have a great time! I stayed in Asheville North Carolina.

Go down to Florida. It's not too far; S. Carolina can be so boring!
