Leadership involves motivating others to follow you. You can be a leader without holding an official management position, and you can be a manager without being a leader. Management also involves such things as financial analysis, which does not have anything to do with leading.

Anyone in the position to lead a team is in the position of leadership including manager. Definition of titles is not as impt as the role. A leader sets goals, visions, manage a team of people, provides guidance. You can read more here on leadership.
