preparing to switch a heatexchanger in an industrial bakers aid oven. I saw some blue substance around the gas line at the joints of the gas line...what is it, and where can I get some?

It's a special pipe dope. It hardens and is a bear to remove. I use Rector-seal #5 for gas lines.

Sounds like its LEAK-LOC we use it on gas lines and on refrigeration fittings. You get at any HVAC supply house.
