My opinion men-when they don't want to get up off the chair!

us men.
95% we don't listen to.. starts off with "I was thinking"...
5% that we listen to involves sex.

Hmmm... I'd have to agree and disagree with that. Men most of the time just don't hear at all! But we women can sometimes try and get our way by pretending not to hear too... so overall I'd say women. Because we hear most things - but decide what we are going to react on more than men.

I have, I can hear high pitched sound well. But sometimes music drowns out low pitched sound. It does come in useful. I can hear women talking on the other side of the room if they have high pitched voices. I heard someone call for help from a 1/4 of a mile away once. I'm glad I have cavity wall insulation - it keeps the noise out - and the heat in!

Men do have the better selective hearing, but women have the better selective memory. Peace.

I think MEN have the better selective hearing. It comes from being the "hunter" in cavemen times when he had to eliminate certain sounds in order to successfully catch the prey.

My Dad is quite a character. He's decided that his hearing aids aren't working, so why wear them. The television can be heard a half block away, so I was trying to encourage him to wear his hearing aids, so that we could turn the TV down. Dad chuckled and said "I hear what I want to hear". That is the truth...for sure.

Selective hearing? I've always called it selective deafness....and I think both genders can be good at it....although I think men need to be better at it....otherwise we might just go insane.

some say that as we age men will slowly stop hearing or go numb to high pitched sounds, and woman to low pitches.
