I don't usually write this style of poetry so it's something new for me. Does this poem mean anything to you or is it just 'words'?

Glacier

Frosted silver, glistening
Sharp, pristine and angliar
Hidden secrets, whispering
Dense, unyielding barrier.
Glazial, cold and distant,
Dispassionate in your frigidity,
Naïve, raw and innocent
Or wise, all-knowing maturity?
Imposing, titanic sanctity
In mysterious hidden splendour
Sparkling wintry beauty,
Frosted buried fervour?
Pure, untarnished, purity
Or flawed illusory stranger?

Wow, beautiful. No it is not just words, yet your use of them is profound. To me it would appear that you are trying to "see" the real person behind the frosty exterior. Are they hiding, uncaring, empty or are they wise, knowing, & maybe a little other worldly. Great poem, my fav. of yours to date. Thanks.

You seem to be inspired by A stranger whom you have compared with Glacier who is dispassionate , frigid yet sparkling and hiding some maturity, imposing like titanic and yet mysterious splendorous

Or it may be your poetry stems from seeing the beauty of Glacier and it is reminiscent with Stranger. any way the words have some Feelings , they are not mere and sheer words. but wordy joy. of the heart.

It is on personal experience. What is a poems purpose. I don't know, it's up to you. Too many questions that work the reader rather than serve them. What is the human purpose value in the Glacier: history, ecology, adventure. You are near the mark.

It's really wonderful because it gives you a glance of the possible psychic traces and impressions left there from lives and years before. The glacier could be pure, and it can also be an icy vault keeping great secrets.

I liked the line " Frosted buried fervour" and it made perfect sense to me.
