Nobody can make you have an abortion, it is the mother's right to decide that. But she does have the right to make you move out in case you do want to keep the baby- which will be really hard. If you don't want to have an abortion, which i completly agree with, but don't feel like you can afford and raise a baby on your own, then tell your mom you would like to give your baby up to adoption. A lot of good-hearted couples, who can't have a baby by themselves, wait everyday for a baby. However, I'm sure she is just overreacting, because she probably took the news a little bit harder than you thought. Give her time to think about what she said. Then act upon it. Good luck either way!

She can't make you have an abortion, whether you were 16 or 18. You are old enough to make a medical decision, so she can't interfere with that.
Now that you are keeping the baby you're going to need some help. Look up your local health department and planned parenthood, they can help you with medical care, counseling if needed and some starter things like diapers formula and how to go about the whole food stamp thing.
Since you dropped out of school at 16, you might want to consider studying a bit while you're pregnant and getting your GED, so you won't be completely without something backing you when finding a job.
I wish you all the best and good luck for you and your baby!

So you're a high school dropout, pregnant at 17, apparently have no responsible parenting partner in your life, and believe your biggest worry is whether or not your mom can make you have an abortion?
Get your priorities straight. This isn't about you or your mother, it's about the baby. With numbers like yours do you really think you'll make a great parent for this child? I seriously doubt it, and so does your mother (and she knows you a lot better than any of us here on Yahoo Answers do, and probably better than you think you know yourself). Stop arguing with her and do the right thing; either get an abortion or make plans to give the baby up for adoption, whichever works for you. You don't have much time to decide, so get responsible NOW.
Once you've done the right thing you seriously need to get your diploma or GED, then go to college and get some sort of credible degree so you'll be able to afford a decent life for yourself and any future children you may have.
Life isn't a video game, and it's a lot shorter than you think. The time to wise up has long passed. It's catch-up time now.
Good luck ... you're gonna need it.

No....no one can FORCE you to have a medical procedure it's illegal. Even if you weren't going to be an adult she couldn't do it.
You need to talk to your mom about why she would want you to kill her grandchild. If it's because you just killed your future....well there's always adoption.
AND you should probably suggest that you & your mom get some counseling about why she's got homicidal tendacies. (sorry you're in trouble and I'm making jokes)
Don't worry she can't MAKE you do it. BUT you should still be an adult about keeping this baby. And don't sit there and say, "but I love this guy, he's going to do this...he's going to do that...I can have this baby" Watch Maury some times...there are a TON of girls on there all the time that said the same thing about their man and not only did the man NOT stay then ended up having to prove paternity before he would even pay support.
Keep the baby if you want...BUT at least make sure that you're making the right decision for the BABY and NOT for you.

No offense, yet don't fret listening to a single be conscious your mom and father pronounced. Having a infant is a good element, and a suitable journey, tho it is likewise by making use of a few distance between the main excruciating stories besides. definite, you made a colossal mistake by making use of having a infant earlier marriage, yet that would not straight away turn you right into a entire monster or something. Your mom and father could be a lot greater loving and forgiving, and this is unhappy and hurts to hearken to how they're treating you and your daughter. An abortion is in no way the respond to this...think of roughly it, why could an harmless infant could die purely because of the fact this is an inconvience or a mistake? i exchange right into a mistake, and that i exchange into meant to be aborted. to disclaim that infant a existence and to advance up and stay and love purely because of the fact of one stupid mistake is insane. and then to place you and her via all this suffering is previous comprehension. i'm very sorry to hearken to that your mom and father have finished this, and that your fiance left you, yet i pray to God which you does not deny this infant existence and which you would be sturdy and loving, the two on your mom and father and your daughter. I pray each and everything works out properly for you and your loved ones.

I don't think anyone can force you into it, legally, however, I agree with Smilin' Jack (who answered above). Your mother knows you a whole lot better than anyone here in Yahoo does. Since you're a drop-out, my hunch is that you've lead a troubled life, Your mother has probably already had a lot of problems raising you, and is therefore not thrilled with the idea of having another baby to take care of. Your life will d-e-f-i-n-a-t-e-l-y NOT improve by having a baby!!
Please think carefully and logically about your situation. There are millions of uneducated girls that become pregnant at an early age that never, EVER recover from poverty and problems. Do you really think it's the responsible thing to bring a child into the world with those kinds of odds against it?
If having an abortion is against your beliefs, then please consider giving the baby up for adoption. There are thousands of childless couples who would give anything to provide a home to a beautiful baby.
Please, please...take care of yourself first by getting yourself educated, employed, and settled in a stable relationship...THEN you can consider having a baby when the time is really right.

No doctor is going to perform an abortion or any kind of surgery on a patient your age with their consent. You don't have to be an adult or emancipated. How in the world does your mother figure that you're going to cooperate? Mom needs to get over herself and her inflated ego and get ready to be a grandmother because she doesn't have any say in the matter.

There is no reliable doctor in the USA who would give a girl an abortion without her consent unless it was threatening her life. Your mother cannot make you get an abortion. Is she going to go in with you and operate herself? Is she a doctor or a nurse? Even if she drives you to a clinic and throws a fit and says you must get an abortion, its your body. You can do what you want with it (within reason) and I would say that not wanting an abortion is totally normal! I'm totally against abortion. Wouldn't the physical pain of pregnancy be better knowing that in 9 months you'll be cuddling a little baby boy or girl rather than going through the emotional pain of knowing you destroyed an unborn child?

I don't know the laws where you live but in most places that I'm aware of no she wouldn't be able to force you to get that done. I expect she fears that you won't be able to care for the child, or that she will end up looking after the child and raising a whole new baby. If you want to show her wrong, do your best by the child, take care of the child, earn money, good luck.

No doctor would perform an abortion on a person who does not want one. I think there are different laws about age and pregnancy. Officially you considered an adult when you are 18, but I think in cases of sex, pregnancy and consent the age is younger. It also depends on what state you live in, but like I said they will not perform an abortion without your permission.
