I ask this because so many people use to say Al Gore was a boring & somewhat non-life like when he was behind a podium & I find Thompson just as dull & boring. Didn't he have to ask for applause after one of his speeches?

Yes I do find him to be boring. If he can get the job done I wouldn't care if he was boring and dull. It's still early and he may fire up a bit.

Not particularly. It's early yet, give him a chance. I find the long winded candidates who never really say anything to be the most boring.

You'll notice that his role on Law and Order is usually restricted to short scenes and witty comments. They don't want him boring the audiences.
